1938 Coccinelle

La Volkswagen Coccinelle est la première automobile construite par le constructeur allemand Volkswagen, ainsi nouvellement créée et dont le nom signifie « voiture du peuple ».

Produite en 1938, elle est conçue par l'ingénieur autrichien Ferdinand Porsche à la demande du chancelier Adolf Hitler, alors à la tête du Troisième Reich allemand.

Outil de propagande pour le régime national-socialiste, elle devient remarquable dans le monde de l'automobile pour sa diffusion et sa longévité. Elle dépasse, le 17 février 1972, le record de modèles vendus, détenu par la Ford T. Elle fut au total produite à plus de 21 529 464 exemplaires à travers le monde.

Elle est initialement dénommée KdF Wagen, pour « Kraft durch Freude » (La force par la joie), du nom d'une branche du Front du travail nazi.

Connue en interne sous le nom de code Type 1, ou encore 1100, 1200, 1300, 1500 et 1600, en rapport avec la cylindrée des différentes motorisations. En raison de ses formes très rondes, elle est souvent surnommée affectueusement le "scarabée" dans différentes langues : « Käfer » en Allemagne, « Beetle » au Royaume-Uni, « Kever » aux Pays-Bas, ou « Escarabajo » en Espagne. Mais on l'appelle « Maggiolino » (hanneton) en Italie, et « Coccinelle » en France.

Le mot de « Combi » est l'abréviation du mot allemand Kombinationenwagen, que l'on peut traduire par « multi-usage » et devient, en France seulement, le surnom de la version la plus répandue du Volkswagen Type 1 (le Split), Type 2 (le bay window) et T3 (la dernière génération avec moteur à l'arrière)

Le dimanche des Rameaux est dans le calendrier liturgique chrétien le dimanche qui précède le dimanche de Pâques et qui marque l'entrée dans la Semaine sainte.

Les quatre Évangiles canoniques  racontent que, peu avant la fête de la Pâque juive, Jésus décide de faire une entrée solennelle à Jérusalem. Il organise son arrivée en envoyant deux disciples chercher à Bethphagé un ânon .

Il entre à Jérusalem sur cette monture et se manifeste publiquement comme le messie que les Juifs attendaient. C'est une monture modeste, comme l'avait annoncé le prophète pour montrer le caractère humble et pacifique de son règne.

Une foule nombreuse venue à Jérusalem pour la fête l'accueille en déposant des vêtements sur son chemin et « en agitant des branches coupées aux arbres », ou rameaux

Palmes, lauriers, oliviers: le dimanche des Rameaux connaît foison de végétaux pour commémorer l’entrée triomphale de Jésus à Jérusalem. Parmi les plus insolites, la tradition des rameaux garnis de friandises ou les palmes tressées, réalisées par des artistes aux doigts de fées. L’élaboration de palmes tressées reste la prérogative de quelques familles qui se transmettent les techniques de tressage de génération en génération

Véritable supplice de patience pour les enfants, certains rameaux étaient garnis de friandises et de jouets. Il fallait attendre la fin de la messe pour y toucher. Les branches étaient chargées de confiseries accrochées par des rubans, voilés de reflets dans la transparence de leur papier cristal. La tradition est attestée en Algérie et dans le Sud de la France, mais tend à se perdre aujourd’hui.

La coutume de bénir des rameaux remonte à la fin du VIe siècle. Comme beaucoup de pratiques liturgiques, elle émerge en Orient avant de gagner l’Occident en VIIIe siècle. Depuis, elle caractérise le dimanche qui précède Pâques.

Technicien inspiré, Frederick Lanchester (1868-1946) entraîne ses frères cadets Frank et George dans la construction automobile dès 1896. Ses voitures se signalent tant par leur qualité d'éxécution que par leur conservatisme, se tenant au moteur sous plancher et à la direction par "queue de vache" jusqu'en 1911

Lanchester a été acheté par le Groupe BSA à la fin des années 1930, après quoi ses voitures ont été fabriquées par Daimler à l'usine Daimler de Coventry. Donc, avec Daimler, Lanchester est devenu une partie de Jaguar Cars en 1960. Les droits de la marque Lanchester appartiennent maintenant à Tata Motors, bien que la marque Lanchester ait été mise en veilleuse après que la dernière Lanchester soit sortie de la ligne d'assemblage en 1955. La Lanchester Motor Company Limited est toujours inscrite comme un actif de l'entreprise et les comptes sont déposés chaque année, mais depuis 2014, elle est indiquées comme "non-commerciale".

Pour les chrétiens orthodoxes, la fête de Pâques est une célébration majeure de l’année. Les croyants font la veillée nocturne à l’église. Les non-pratiquants vont bénir leurs Paskas (pain traditionnel de Pâques) dès potron-minet. – Force de tradition qui n’a pas pu être éradiquée même par 70 ans d’athéisme d’Etat. Pourtant il a été fatal à de nombreux trésors de la culture ukrainienne.

Le pain de Pâques est fabriqué la veille, béni à l'église et consommé au petit-matin par toute la famille. On en fait généralement une quantité - pour pouvoir en manger durant toute la semaine suivante
